Opportunity: Mandela Washington Fellowship

In 2014, the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), the Mandela Washington Fellowship, was launched. It seeks to empower young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking.

The application for the 2018 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is open to future leaders aged between 25 and 35 years old. Any potential applicant will have until October 11 to apply.

In 2018, it is expected that the Fellowship will provide 700 outstanding young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. college or university with support for professional development after they return home.
